Founded by Lesley Fleming in 2009, Vocal Ease is a small, select group based in Southend on Sea. The group consists of mixed voices SATB.  We work very much as a team. This involves each member being totally committed to a ‘team’ ethos and carries responsibilities such as needing to know their own parts thoroughly, treating everyone equally and supporting each other. The rewards of being in a close knit team are far reaching.

 

Our aims are to:-

 

• Enjoy making music together and have fun.

 

• Work hard and learn music to the best of our ability.

 

• Explore music of all different styles and genres.

 

• Share our music with others in the form of concerts.

 

• Support charities or other events when appropriate.

 

 

We are continually raising funds for the Neo Natal Unit at Southend Hospital. Through our concerts we have been able to raise enough funds to purchase new cots for the babies and new Baby Control Apnoea Monitors.

 

Since Vocal Ease started we have raised over 13,400 for the

Neo Natal Unit.
